Volunteer with Heart of Texas Feral Friends!
A more detailed list of volunteer opportunities and approximate time per month will be posted soon. Please check back!  (*You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer in the top 4 positions.)

*TRAPPING—Use humane traps to help us trap feral cats at designated colonies on specific day & time. Training workshop is required and you must be at least 18 years of age.

*TRANSPORT / RELEASE—If you have an SUV or other type of enclosed back seat (no trucks or trunks, please), then help us transport cats to and from the ABC Clinic. Training workshop is required and you must be at least 18 years of age.

*CAREGIVER—Responsible for providing food, fresh water, shelter and keeping the feeding stations clean of debris and excess food. We need caregivers for colonies all over the city, so ask us if one is near your home or office. Occasionally, we get donated cat food to help caregivers in our TNR Program. Training workshop is required and you must be at least 18 years of age. This also qualifies you for our "By Invitation Only" monthly Caregiver Mixers.

*COLONY MONITOR—Track a feral cat colony on a weekly basis to check for new cats wandering into a stabilized colony so we can quickly TNR it. Training workshop is required and you must be at least 18 years of age.

PUBLIC EVENTS—Do you enjoy talking to people one-on-one? We need volunteers to help raise awareness within our community. Includes handing out TNR brochures at Heart of Texas Feral Friends information booths or Animal Birth Control Clinic events!

DONATIONS
—Help us raise donations for Trap-Neuter-Return at your work or in your neighborhood. Your donations can be applied to our General TNR Fund to help everyone, or it can be designated at one of our registered TNR Colonies. Ask us for details. We are also going to be helping to raise $4,000 for the Feral Cat Room that will be a part of the Animal Birth Control Clinic's new building (to be completed in late 2009). Ask us how you can donate to the Feral Cat Room, or to the Animal Birth Control Clinic's Capital Campaign Building Fund, or call 254-751-7796.
